Frequently Asked Questions

During our journey we have received some questions about our candles and their use, in the following blog you will be able to find the most common questions and answers. We hope you find them useful! Please contact us if you have any further questions, it is our pleasure to assist you.

How to prevent heat related injuries or marks on the surface where the candles are being burned?

We recommend always burning the candle on plates or trays, for example our marble collection. The candles can become very hot during the burn and may leave marks on your table.

What to do if the wooden wick doesn’t catch light? Are there ways to make it burn better?

If the wick is harder to light at some point, always remember to trim your wick, it also helps to tilt the candle a bit and light it a longer time frame.

Is it ruining my vessel if it gets black marks from the burning wick?

Don’t worry, the black marks aren’t doing anything to the vessel. They will come off easily just by wiping it with a tissue.

The vessel is natural, breathing material and its colour may vary a bit within time. Is that something to worry?

The ceramics are designed to be ideal for your plant. Therefore the material of the vessel breaths, which allows water and wax to enter it. That will sometimes change the colour of the vessel in time, but it is nothing to worry about. If you wish to prevent it we recommend burning the candle no more than 3-4 hours.

Are the colour variations affecting the use as a pot for your flower after the candle has burned?

Not at all. The vessel is ideal for your plant and the colour changes are because the material breathes and creates a healthy environment for the roots of the plant.

Can I take the decoration out when I start burning the candle?

Yes, absolutely! It is completely up to you if you want to keep it in or take it out. The decoration of the candle will not affect the burning time or the quality of the vessel, all of our decorations have been tested to ensure it is safe.

If the candle goes off when there is only a little bit of wax left, it’s difficult to light again or get the remaining wax out of the vessel. Any tips that could help with this?

We recommend always burning the candle all the way to the end. That way the vessel is the easiest to clean. If there is any wax left in the vessel, you can get it out easily with just rinsing with warm water.

It takes a while for the candle to melt all the way to the edges. What kind of instructions do you have for getting the most perfect burn?

Especially the Resonant and Reminiscence candles take a while before the wax has melted all the way to the edges. Therefore we recommend keeping them burning 1,5-2 hours every time you light them up. Doing so you will get to enjoy them longer as the wax will burn even providing more burning hours.

Are all the candles nontoxic?

Yes, they are. We use 100% soy wax in all our candles. It is nontoxic and one of the most environmental friendly choices for candles.

The material used in the Marble Collection is special and not familiar to everyone. Is it safe to use and nontoxic?

The material used in our marble collection is Jesmonite. This material and also the varnish we use are both nontoxic. In addition they are the most environment friendly options of this type of materials.
